These are wind resistant and somewhat baggy, so they can easily be able to fit over your base layer when the temperature really drops. At mid-range pricing, these are my most versatile cold-weather fishing pants pick! You’re getting a terrific deal.
They are great to wear over your thermals, but I don’t recommend them for ice fishing use as they are too baggy and will not have a comfortable feel.
They are made from 94% Nylon and 6% Spandex and have a surface layer water-repellent coating that repels rain or snow, but they are not waterproof. They can breathe and, at the same time, protect you from the chilly wind.
The polar fleece inside provides moisture-wicking treatment and good thermal insulation.
